This is one area where the MR-2 didn’t age well. The eighties-looking interior is full of shiny plastics and dated-looking dials (even on cars registered in the late nineties). However, most of the buttons are in logical places.

There is a surprising amount of room in this two-seater. Despite its compact proportions, there’s plenty of leg and headroom. Mid-engine layout means it’s noisy, there’s a stingy amount of shoulder room and the pop out T-Bar roof is snug in use. However, the seats are well cushioned.
