What is miles per pound?
Fuel economy
A more stringent standard for fuel economy (WLTP) was introduced from September 2017, and this model was not required to undergo that test.
Its fuel economy measured under the previous test system was 22 - 25 mpg. However these figures are less likely to be achievable in real world driving and so should never be compared to another car's mpg which was measured under the newer, more realistic WLTP system.

It may be big, but running costs are halfway between a Picnic and a Landcruiser. Insurance is group 13 across the range which isn’t bad considering the bulk and passenger count. Fuel consumption is on the poor side in the early 20s, with steady resale values and average depreciation despite its age.
Toyota build quality and the fact that the Previa is so well proven. The only problems are with high milers – they have noticeably worn interiors, and the occasional grumble with auto gearboxes.
