Summary
What does this car say about you?
I like something a bit different
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Impressed by the specification and fuel consumption (genuine 56mpg), divided on the external appearance except the colour (red) which they all say suits the car very well.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, but would like to try the Mk3 to see if minor niggles have been ironed out. Incidentally, there's a lot on 'Net forums about the cost of battery replacement. I asked Toyota direct who confirmed under £900, plus 1.7 hours fitting.
What are you likely to buy next?
Don't know yet - depends on when I win the lottery!

My local dealer had less well specified models for £1000 more, so yes, I think I got a good deal.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It handles very well and is reasonably brisk. Certainly no sluggard. When the 2 motors are working together, the acceleration is excellent but it's not a sports car! The only minor gripe is the amount of road noise which, after my old Mercedes, seems a tad loud.
What's it like to park?
The rear parking camera takes a bit of getting used to but is very helpful. Guessing where the front is can be a bit of a gamble.
