Summary
What does this car say about you?
Smart driver, especially with gas prices creeping up to £6.00/gallon.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Very impressed.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Very good chance: only has slightly less space than my Avensis but much more compact, quieter and economical.
What are you likely to buy next?
Prius or its successor, especially if it had a diesel engine, heated/folding mirrors, OAT gauge, engine temp gauge, range indication.

Full value for my Avensis trade-in, so good deal.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Smooth, quiet and rides well if slightly too firm (70 ratio tyres would probably improve this). Cruises happily up to high 70s on motorway but mpg is only mid-40s then. If you cruise in mid-60s you'll get mid-50s mpg. Best mileage is in town which takes a while to realize.
What's it like to park?
Visibility to rear and front corners (thick pillars) needs getting used-to.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Release for fuel-filler flap failed after a couple of weeks. Fixed by dealer in 5 mins.
What's most practical about your car?
Good torque for acceleration. MPG is improving: it started in low 50s in winter but I now have 6000mls and in mild weather I get 56 - 59 mpg depending on use.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Hill-holder is good. Engine stop with automatic start is good, but lag at roundabouts when engine has stopped and you want to move off smartly.
