What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
People tend to think I got the car for it's green crudentials, but I got it for its fuel economy (your fuel economy improves in traffic!!!). Most people are very impressed with the car when they drive it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
YES. We have an '09' Mercedes A-Class, which is just terrible by comparison. Ok it's not a prestige car, but it drives well, the fuel economy is close to the published figures, Toyota dealers are so courteous, polite and customer focussed and the car is a pleasure to drive. Ok there has been a brake recall, but ford have recalled the Focus 11 times in two years!!!!
What are you likely to buy next?
Another Prius, but if not it will not be a Mercedes!!!

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Car drives extremely well, good road handling if a little hard at times. Fuel economy very close to Toyota's published figures of 70.2mpg. I have had 68.3mpg on a run, but average around 62-65mpg. Has a combined BHP of 134, so in power mode the car can move like any other family saloon.
What's it like to park?
Parking is a doddle, mainly due to the rear view camera built into the T-Spirit model. The car has Park Assist, which is a little time consuming, this scans a parking space as you drive past and then when you select reverse actually steers for you.... Great idea and party trick and has been 100% perfect when its been used!!!

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Battery was dead the first morning, however, trouble free since and the dealer offered to hire a car for me whilst they investigated and have the hire car delivered to my home address!!!!
What's most practical about your car?
Boot space is plentiful, good sized family car with outstanding fuel economy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Head-up display, Built in voice control / Bluetooth phone which works with the Iphone 3GS (note to do this on our Mercedes A-class costs an extra £450 !!!)
