Toyota RAV4 (2000 - 2005) 2.0 D-4D XT3 5d Owner Review

Had plenty of trucks before this and especially liked my vitaras but the rav was recommended so we bought. Comfy, safe, and surprisingly quick sees off white van man. Front passenger seat becomes uncomfortable on long hauls great for space and load lugging no complaints however within the first year our turbo was finished with way less than 100,000 on the clock. So a four figure repair bill later she was as good as new....then a year after that the gearbox or the 4wd synchro thing locked up that was it for us, final straw never had any of these probs with shogun's or vitaras etc. Not sure if this was a Friday afternoon car but hey whilst the car worked it was good. The rear gate was a pain.
