Summary
What does this car say about you?
Probably that I'm a townie whose heart is really in the country. It's a half way house between a car and a 4x4
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They like its appearance but are horrified by the cost of replacing what is usually a bog standard part.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Not if the cost of a basic repair to an exhaust doesn't come down.
What are you likely to buy next?
Not entirely sure but I would definitely research certain absic costs more carefully.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchise
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£13,500
When did you buy the car?
September 2003
Did you get a good deal and why?
Not particularly as the trade in for a year old Peugeot Quicksilver was not at all generous.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Reliability and the Tonka toy good looks!
What was the dealer like?
Helpful, friendly and perhaps unusual, female.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Handles well, particularly when cornering. Quiet at speed and good through the gears.
What's it like to park?
Easy to manouvre but pillars create blind spots in certain locks.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
The alloys are not good and are pretty rusty. The biggest problem, which has only happened in the last week , is that the middle section of exhaust needs to be replaced and there are no third party manufacturers as Toyota appears not to have released the pattern for this model. The price quoted is £816, plus VAT. This is not a typing error! It can only be ordered new from Toyota so it's the breakers yard for me.
What's most practical about your car?
Not much! The boot space is very small. Good visibility, though.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Outside temperature gauge.
