Summary
What does this car say about you?
Mud-plugger or poser!
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
Love the look.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. Rolls too much in corners, engine too noisy.
What are you likely to buy next?
Something quieter and better handling. Perhaps Chevvy Orlando 2.0L, or Seat Altea XL 2.0L. 4WD not necessary.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
The driving position is good, with resonable range of seat / steering wheel adjust. Seems relatively asthmatic under acceleration (heavy induction roar), but used to pick up well when new (has now lost its edge at 35,000 miles). Engine has always been a rattler (known fault) and has an infuriating tendency for fast tickover (up to 1,500 rpm) when fully warmed up, with heater fan on during cold weather. Good fuel consumption: upper 40s mpg at 70 mph; 60 mpg at 55mph, comb 43 mpg. Handling was surprisingly good - now rolls like a ship in a storm (35,000 miles), but great in snow, mud etc.
What's it like to park?
Easy - fitted with rear sensors.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
A-pillar airbag cover flew off as I drove away from dealers. Tow eye cover and alarm sensor have since dropped off.
What's most practical about your car?
4WD, in other respects is out-pointed by numerous vehicles.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Electric sunroof and 6-CD autochanger - both rare as standard equip.
