What does this car say about you?
Eventually got the sense to buy a basic car that give excellent engineering and good value for money in servicing.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
They prefer flash, I prefer basic dependable.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, would not return to the fords, mercs or volkwagens. Toyota are the number one vehicle builder in the world, Volkswagen are a close second only because the have so many different franchises,.Audi, Bentley, Bugatti, Lamborghini, Porsche, SEAT, where as Toyota has lexus.
What are you likely to buy next?
Another RAV4 which is 2WD version is giving 41 mpg (the Mercedes gave me 42mpg and that was a smaller engine and smaller saloon car).

Did you get a good deal and why?
Did not get a good deal, because the salesman recognised that I really wanted the vehicle he did not move on the ticket price.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Have previously had both saloon and 4x4 vehicles and now prefer to have the larger type of vehicle.
What was the dealer like?
The Toyota Falkirk salesman was honest and highly recommended. The Toyota Carlisle salesman did have problems on what models and parts for that model were available.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
It does not drive like a saloon car, but makes a good effort to be like one. the acceleration is faster than the average car. The viewing position is far superior that a saloon car.
What's it like to park?
No problems at all, high viewing position makes all the difference.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No, its a Toyota.
What's most practical about your car?
Plastic coated brake hydraulic pipes. my last care was a Mercedes and it had bare mild steel brake pipes that rust.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Its a basic vehicle with a gearbox that a positive action, my previous Mercedes had a difficult gear selection. the handbreak on the Toyota is independent positive lock, the Mercedes had stretched cable that was not as positive as the Toyota.
