Toyota Space Cruiser 2.0 4d (8 Seat) (1983/Y) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
A huge box for 1/3 the price of a townace, seats 8 adults and medium luggage a treat.
Costs
Parts are a bit expensive, but reliability keeps that at bay. Only cost £400 at 15 years (10 montt t+t).

On the road
Driving
Quite pleasant to drive, but sloppy and steering is far from sharp.
Performance
Slow and whinny - runs out of puff at 65mph, and never settles at speed. Lucky to gain more than 25mpg, or 20mpg in town. A genuine bus.

Living with it
Reliability
quite reliable, considering milage is almost 300,000 miles!
Image
a brick on wheels, what do you expect?
Comfort
Bags of space, rests to put your feet up in second row. Soft springs give american style smoothness - goes crazy on bumps! Good for long distance cruising - at sub 60mph speeds!
-
Security and Service
Security
Not bad for a 20 year old car, imobiliser and alarm keep theives at bay - not that they'd want it!
