Hopefully the new battery will help because I like the car , but you shouldn’t have to worry about buying a solar charger with a new car. We were told it is a known problem but we weren’t told this when buying or we may have had second thoughts. They now have given a information sheet with how to prevent it from happening and given us a larger battery!
How reliable do you find the car?
Went on holiday for ten days and found that the 12 v car battery completely dead. Had to get the AA out to start it. Toyota replaced the battery with a larger one. But they said it is a know problem with all hybrid cars.
