Toyota Yaris Cross SUV 1.5 Hybrid Excel AWD 5dr CVT Owner Review

In their own words
This vehicle is not for me. It has let me down several times - the engine won't start, the dashboard displays "no power steering, no brakes, refer to dealer", and windscreen washers stopped working on a wintry journey as the fuse in the washer motor packed in.
Following many telephone conversations with the dealer, I was offered a free solar-powered trickle charger to place on the dashboard to charge the small start-up battery and told I wasn't using the vehicle enough and needed to take it on regular long journeys (defeating the object of a hybrid and lower fuel consumption?)
Had I been aware that the Yaris Cross needs a trickle charger due to my low mileage (retired female) I would not have purchased it.
I asked the dealer to make me an offer on the vehicle - they offered £22k - I paid £31.5k.
By giving free trickle chargers to YC owners, is Toyota admitting that the Yaris Cross has a design fault and is not fit for purpose?
