Economy
Value
Expensive considering current competition.
Costs
Petrol costs are generally low, but if you push the car (as you'll need to) the costs of fuel go up steeply. Only other cost were tyres and service...so not bad!

Driving
Small car with wheels at each of the corners means driving along country lanes is actually a lot of fun (despite the slow acceleration!), car is very nice to drive and park around cities and towns. Slight problem is visibility as front pillars are HUGE!
Performance
Slow acceleration, don't buy a Yaris if you plan to drive on motorways regularly - the 1.0L is underpowered.

Living with it
Reliability
No problems at all - only went to garage for fuel, tyres and a service. The car is totally reliable.
Image
Centre console is very cool. But the only times you see a Yaris these days is either a driving school or is the personal conveyance of an OAP - not the image for a 28 year old bloke!

Security and Service
Security
Flashing light on console - not quite sure what it was for.
Service
Generally very good.
