What does this car say about you?

Doesn't really say anything, Its a Toyota, not really anything to get excited about. Practical, usually reliable marque.

What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?

Impressed with the interior space and cabin, very clever packaging, I don't for one moment think they are envious of its sexless looks or curves.

Would you buy this car again and why?

Not in this form, i.e. MMT/auto box, DO NOT BUY AN AUTO IN THIS RANGE. You will regret it, Toyota has attempted to be 'clever' with the transmission and it simply does not work. You are paying over the odds for a badge. Save yourself a lot of cash and buy a Ford product, just as reliable and a heck of a lot cheaper. Don't believe the hype.

What was the dealer like?

Was alright to start with (as they all are), height of kindness itself until things started going wrong, then the Service Department decided to fob me off with all sorts of excuses, not the sort of reaction you'd expect from a Toyota dealer.

What's it like to drive?

Brilliant medium car but terrible driving experience down to the auto box operation. Constantly hunts for gears around corners and slowing down, has almost stalled at junctions which has resulted in some very serious near misses. Other than that the steering is light and excellent at low speed, the brakes can be very sharp though.

What's it like to park?

Quite easily parked although bigger than the previous generation Yaris, glass area is large with good visibility when manoeuvring around the local shopping centre car park

Have you had any problems with the car?

Auto box is absolutely awful in design and operation, in the last six months the car has gone back to the dealer three times with the same problem. Were not interested and tried all sorts of excuses before finally taking the car in for five days, even this didn't really sort the problem out with the car.

What's most practical about your car?

Brilliant rear seat/boot movement, allows you to ether increase seat leg room/cabin space or increase the boot space by moving the rear seats on rails.

Favourite gadget, option or accessory?

Chubby holes and glove boxes within the cabin are brilliant, plenty of storage space for a family, very well designed.
