Summary
What does this car say about you?
Nothing. I don't purchase cars for the personal image they may or may not create but purely on the merits of the vehicle itself.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
I haven't consulted them and in any case their opinions would matter muinus nil to me, for the reasons stated above.
Would you buy this car again and why?
No. In many respects, despite its plus points, this is a car which with little effort on the manufacturer's part, could not only be a better but a much better beast...
What are you likely to buy next?
No idea.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£10,000
When did you buy the car?
December 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Reputation for top quality and reliability.
What was the dealer like?
In nearly half a century of buying cars, the experience is always basically the same, viz the SALES experience is satisfactory (in this particular instance it was exemplary) but the preparation of the car via the SERVICE dept leaves a very, very great deal to be desired (again, this was the case whn buying a previous Toyota , new, from the same dealer...).

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Lack-lustre - very disappointing indeed. I wouldn't buy another Toyota, despite the plus points of my present model.
What's it like to park?
No problem.
-
Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No
What's most practical about your car?
That digital speedometer.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
The digital speedo was the clincher in going for this model - I don't even b e g i n to understnad why so few manufactuers continue with analogue versions - even the very latest Yaris has abandoned the digital reader....
