Summary
What does this car say about you?
The Yaris is an absolutely cracking little car, especially in diesel form, but unfortunately about 90% of other Yaris drivers seem to be pensioners, so I guess it says I'm old. But you know what; who cares, it's a little belter.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
My kids say its an old man car. My mechanic comments on how fast it is every time he drives it.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Yes, it's reliable, practical and nippy..
What are you likely to buy next?
Volkswagen transporter - Kombi or if my ship comes in a Claifornia.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
No
What price did you pay?
£6,000
When did you buy the car?
March 2009
Did you get a good deal and why?
I was happy with the price considering for once the car was exactly what I was looking for - the right make & model, engine, 5 doors and colour - not that common when buying second hand!
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Economy as I have a 30 mile commute to work.
What was the dealer like?
Dealer was fine. Friendly, open and honest.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
50+ mpg even when pressing on. Surprisingly nippy - easy overtaking when the turbo kicks in. Nicely shaped seats. Decent cornering. Copes fine with motorway driving, but on longer drives I do fnd resting your elbow on the door starts to feel hard.
What's it like to park?
Easy to park, small and with a decent turning circle.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
Nothing. Apart from tyres and brake pads the only thing I've had to replace are a couple of bulbs.
What's most practical about your car?
Typical Japanese reliability, 100% trustworthy, 50+ mpg even when pressing on. Surprisingly nippy.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
I love the 3d digital dash. Going back to normal tachos seems so vague now.
