Summary
What does this car say about you?
I like peace of mind, practicality and gadgets.
What do your friends / family / neighbours think of the car?
When I said I was buying a Yaris they weren't too impressed. Once they saw the car they changed their minds and a friend is actually ordering a Yaris Sport in a few months.
Would you buy this car again and why?
Probably not, only because I know it will last me years and when I do change car I'll buy something a bit bigger.
What are you likely to buy next?
Hopefully a GT86, if not an Auris.

Buying experience
Type of dealer you bought from?
Franchised
Did you buy this car new?
Yes
What price did you pay?
£13,500
When did you buy the car?
February 2015
Did you get a good deal and why?
Incredible deal! I still had 5 months left on a PCP contract on my old Aygo and that was settled, plus 0% finance, Toyota paid £500 towards deposit, knocked £1500 off the car and included mats and flaps.
Is there any special reason why you bought this car?
Bulletproof reliability, lots of kit, impressive facelift.
What was the dealer like?
Brilliant as ever.

Driving it
What's it like to drive?
Much better than the pre-facelift model, I had an older Yaris as a courtesy car a few years back and it was dreary to drive in comparison. Obviously not as good as a new Fiesta, but what else is?
What's it like to park?
Easy, especially with the reversing camera.

Living with it
Have you had any problems with the car?
No, as expected. I had an Aygo for almost 3 years beforehand and that only needed 2 new front tyres after 25k miles.
What's most practical about your car?
Decent shaped boot and ample room for 4 adults. I'm 6'1 and have my seat right back but there's still plenty of legroom behind me.
Favourite gadget, option or accessory?
Bluetooth music streaming and the ability to rewind live radio. LED tracer lights. Black alloys.
