Toyota Yaris T Sport (01-05) rivals
Overview
The Yaris was Car of the year in 1999, but the T-Sport – the quickest version – wasn’t launched until 2001. Although it’s the sportiest model in the Yaris line-up, it doesn’t quite cut it as a wannabe rally car. Instead it sports subtly enhanced body modifications and stronger performance, but certainly not in the hot hatch league. A good choice for those seeking the compact dimensions and dependability of the Yaris with enough oomph to cope with the cut and thrust of motorway and out of town driving.
But thrill seekers should look elsewhere.
