When it comes to running a van, the price of insurance is often overlooked even though it can have a significant impact on overall running costs. In our constant strive to save van buyers money and help them chose the van that’s right for them, we compare the cost of van insurance for all of the entry level small panel vans on the market to compliment the ‘Top 5 Small Panel Vans under £5,000‘ article.

Obviously the price for van insurance varies from case to case, so we’ve set the example on our very own Van Editor. We assume the driver is male, 25 years old, has held their licence for 8 years and has five years no claims or convictions. We’ve also set the examples on basic trims, engines and specification on vans that are three years old (this eliminates the Mercedes-Benz Citan as this was introduced in 2012) with 60,000 miles on the clock.
