Dacia Duster Commercial dimensions and specs (2021-on)
The Dacia Duster Commercial is a van version of the Dacia Duster passenger car, sitting in both the car-derived van and commercial 4x4 sectors. This page covers all its major dimensions, as well as payload ratings and towing capacity of the second-generation version, launched in 2021.

The Dacia Duster Commercial is a van version of the Dacia Duster passenger SUV. This makes it quite a bit larger than other car-derived vans, such as the Ford Fiesta Van and Renault Zoe Van, but also means you get a larger load space. We’ve got the full dimensions details right here.
The exterior dimensions of the Dacia Duster Commercial are:
- Length: 4,341mm
- Height with roof bars: 1,693mm
- Width including door mirrors: 2,052mm
- Width with door mirrors folded: 1,804mm
- Wheelbase: 2,673mm FWD, 2676mm 4WD
The load area dimensions of the Dacia Duster Commercial are:
- Maximum load length: 1,792mm
- Maximum load height: 917mm FWD, 814mm 4WD
- Maximum load height under load cover: 468mm FWD, 365mm 4WD
- Maximum load width: 1,247mm
- Minimum load width: 977mm
- Maximum load volume: 1,623 litres FWD, 1,559 litres 4WD
As you can see, the four-wheel drive (4WD) versions lose a little bit of load capacity versus the front-wheel drive (FWD) models, due to the space taken up by the rear differential.
Because it’s based on a car, the load volume is given in litres; converted to cubic metres that's just over 1.6 with FWD and a little over 1.5 with 4WD. The Fiesta Van and Zoe Van can only offer around 1.0 cubic metre of space.
The conversion from passenger car to commercial vehicle is high quality here, with the rear seats replaced by a flat load area, which can be hidden by a removable load cover. The driver and front passenger are separated from the load space by a metal bulkhead for safety, and there are load lashing rings to help prevent things sliding about.
You can access the load space through the rear side doors, though this access is partially blocked by the bulkhead. The rear side windows are replaced by blanked panels, though the transparent glass in the tailgate remains.
One of the reasons for choosing a car-derived van or commercial 4x4 over a more conventional commercial vehicle is the very fact that they don’t obviously look like a van. Which means machines such as the Duster Commercial are less likely to attract opportunistic tool thieves.
Payload for the Dacia Duster Commercial varies with engine, drivetrain and trim level. These are the latest official figures:
- Dacia Duster Commercial TCe 90 petrol maximum payload: 503kg
- Dacia Duster Commercial TCe 130 petrol maximum payload: 483kg
- Dacia Duster Commercial TCe 150 petrol maximum payload: 473kg
- Dacia Duster Commercial Blue dCi 115 diesel maximum payload: 481kg FWD, 490kg 4WD
Dacia only gives different trim level figures for the diesel, which means you’ll find the better equipped Comfort version manages 463kg as a front-wheel drive model and 471kg as a 4x4.
Towing capacity for the Dacia Duster Commercial is much more straightforward. All versions have an unbraked towing rating of 750kg and a braked towing rating of 1,500kg.
