The Doblo Cargo is a small van that offers big capacity - in fact, in its largest XL form, this compact Fiat offers more load space than some vans from the medium-sized class above.
This is because it not only comes in standard and Maxi wheelbase options, it's also available with a high roof - something few other small vans offer these days.
The short-wheelbase (SWB) models can accomodate two Euro pallets, while the long-wheelbase (LWB) Maxi can swallow three. The Doblo Maxi with the high roof is known as the XL.
Twin asymmetric opening rear doors come as standard, but a tailgate can be specified if you prefer. All models get at least one sliding side door, with a second also available on the other side.
An extensive variety of body styles - including the unusual Work Up dropside pickup - mean there is almost certainly a Doblo to suit your business. It's genuinely quite surprising that Fiat doesn't sell more of them.
Load area accesories include a choice of different types of bulkhead - including load-through options - an internal roof rack, and anopening 'roof window', which is actually a hatch that allows you to extend longer loads out of the top of the van!

The larger load volume in each case is achieved with the passenger seat folded down where a swiveling bulkhead is fitted.
The Doblo has one of the highest payload ratings in the small van class.
Fiat Doblo payload
The standard payload rating for the Fiat Doblo is 750kg, but all panel van versions can be upgraded to carry 1,005kg for a small fee.
The combi variant - which has a second row of seats for passengers - can carry between 335kg and 450kg.
Fiat Doblo towing capacity
We're waiting for Fiat to get back to us on this one, but suffice to say, if towing is your priority, there are vans more suited to the job - although all of these will also be larger ones.
