Fiat E-Scudo electric van dimensions and specs (2022-on)
Want to know how much payload the Fiat E-Scudo electric van can carry? Or the size of the Fiat E-Scudo's load area? Good news – you'll find the specifications here.
If you want to know how well the E-Scudo drives, and how far you'll be able to drive between charges, check out our main E-Scudo review page.
Following the template set by the Vauxhall Vivaro-e, the E-Scudo electric van comes in choice of two body lengths under a single roof height, with the benefit that it will fit height-restricted and underground car parks.
With batteries under the floor the load space is unchanged from the diesel Scudo, and the flexible through-loading bulkhead is standard, called ModuWork.
Fiat E-Scudo exterior dimensions
Choosing between lengths is easy, as the E-Scudo is handily referred to as short wheelbase or long wheelbase. Except the wheelbase is the same for both models. If you want a shorter one, you need to look to one of the other brands in the UK.
These are the main exterior dimensions:
Fiat E-Scudo electric van | SWB | LWB |
Exterior length (mm) | 4,959 | 5,309 |
Exterior height (mm) | 1,895 | 1,895 |
Exterior width with door mirrors (mm) | 2,204 | 2,204 |
Exterior width without door mirrors (mm) | 1,920 | 1,920 |
Wheelbase (mm) | 3,275 | 3,275 |
Front overhang (mm) | 881 | 881 |
Rear overhang (mm) | 803 | 1,153 |
Ground clearance (mm) | 150 | 150 |
Fiat E-Scudo load space dimensions
Designed from the outset as an electric or diesel van, there are no changes in load space between the Scudo and E-Scudo:
Fiat E-Scudo electric van | L1 | L2 |
Maximum standard load length (mm) | 2,512 | 2,862 |
Load length with ModuWork (mm) | 2,017 | 2,365 |
Minimum load length (mm) | 2,185 | 2,535 |
Maximum load height (mm) | 1,397 | 1,397 |
Maximum load width (mm) | 1,628 | 1,628 |
Width between the wheelarches (mm) | 1,258 | 1,258 |
Rear door opening height (mm) | 1,220 | 1,220 |
Rear door opening width (mm) | 1,282 | 1,282 |
Standard load volume (cubic metres) | 5.3 | 6.1 |
Load volume with ModuWork (cubic m) | 5.8 | 6.6 |
Although the E-Scudo has done away with the heavy diesel engine, it's replaced it with heavier batteries - which does mean the payload and towing capacity is different to the diesel.
That's not really a problem though, as even in electric form the Scudo's body offers a lot of space and payload.
Fiat E-Scudo payload
The most you can carry with a Fiat E-Scudo is 1,226kg. That's achieved by choosing the SWB model with the 50kWh battery pack. It does look like the upgrade for full payload is included on the E-Scudo where other brands charge extra, at least.
If you need the longer driving range of the 75kWh battery, your max payload is reduced to 1,002kg.
Payload varies slightly for higher-specification models; add more kit by choosing the E-Scudo Business or some of the options and you'll have less payload capacity than if you'd gone for the E-Scudo Technico.
Choose a diesel Fiat Scudo and you could carry 130kg more than the best E-Scudo.
Fiat E-Scudo towing capacity
Every E-Scudo is rated to tow 1,000kg (1.0-tonne) braked.
Diesel Scudos can tow 1,400-2,500kg, depending on variant.
