Great Wall Steed dimensions (2011-on)
Towing capacity was increased, after rigorous testing at Millbrook in 2013, from two tonnes to 2.5 tonnes. This still falls short of many of the competitors, which offer towing capacities of up to 3.5 tonnes.
A load liner, which seems quite tough and durable, is included as standard, while SE specced vehicles also receive the hard-top canopy.
Unlike most pickups on the market, the Great Wall Steed is only available as double cab. The load length is extremely short and quite narrow at 1,380mm and 1,460mm respectively.
The payload is not exceptional either at 1,050kg, although it does meet the one tonne tax threshold.
