With the carpet now rolled out for the all new Trafic, savvy buyers could be in for a bargain as Renault rush to get rid of old stock. Our Deal of the Week comes from Loads of Vans, with their Renault Trafic Sport up at just £11,999 plus VAT, a saving of over £8000.
This generation Trafic was, and still is, a much respected product balancing practicality with versatility. It’s comfortable, easy to drive and offers good all-round vision and, with it being the 113bhp version, it packs respectable amount of punch too.
It’s the short wheelbase, low roof version, but it can still carry load volumes of up to 5m³. The 27 denotes the gross vehicle weight of 2700kg, which return a payload of around 1080kg. Under the bonnet is the Renault-Nissan 2 litre diesel unit, which is fairly economical and reliable.
Specification
The basic Trafic spec includes quite a lot as standard, including a radio with CD player and Bluetooth, remote control central locking, ABS with EBD (Electronic Brake force Distribution), alarm and immobiliser
But as this is the Sport model, you will also benefit from increased curb appeal with 16 inch alloy wheels, metallic paint and front for lights, while the cab features air conditioning, trip computer, cruise control, front for lights, electric windows, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors and, last but not least, a Tom Tom satellite navigation system.
If you don’t fancy all this extra gear, the standard Trafic can be purchased for £1000 less at £10,999 plus VAT. We would advise against buying the 90hp version though, which is a further £500 cheaper, as we found this version to be quite sluggish and underpowered for a van of this size.
Aftersales
The icing on the cake for this deal, though, is Renault’s respectable aftersales package, which includes the four year, 100,000 mile warranty, four years roadside assist, four years, tax deductible lease agreement and four years asset protection for £399.
