Used Ford vans given official mark of approval

  • Ford Approved is now offered to van and pickup buyers
  • Demand for quality used commercials is rising
  • All ‘Approved’ vehicles are less than five years old

The rising demand for low-mileage and quality used commercial vehicles has spurred Ford on to extend its ‘Ford Approved’ programme to its van and pickup range. Vehicles are subject to a rigorous, 160-point quality verification, and come with a 12-month warranty and roadside assistance.

Ford Transit Connect

Ford Approved was re-launched into the passenger car side of the business in 2014, and has helped increase Ford’s used-car sales. The firm says it defines a new way for its customers to source quality used vans and pickups with added peace of mind.

Only vehicles less than five years old and with fewer than 100,000 miles on the clock qualify for the service. They are sold on a 14-day/500-mile exchange programme, as well as with seven-day drive-away insurance.

Ford Transit Courier

Ford Approved vans and pickups can be browsed on the Ford website (www.ford.co.uk). Andy Barratt, chairman and managing director, Ford of Britain, highlights the benefits to customers.

“Ford Approved offers commercial vehicle customers complete peace of mind. The Ford-backed scheme assures buyers that the vehicle they are purchasing is of suitable quality complete with warranty and roadside back-up.”

Ford Ranger

Ford offers one of the most comprehensive commercial vehicle line-ups, which includes the Ford Fiesta van, Ford Transit Courier, Ford Transit Connect, Ford Transit Custom, Ford Transit and Ford Ranger.
