After twenty years of supporting businesses throughout Europe, Mercedes-Benz has announced the launch of a special edition model, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 20th Anniversary Edition, to mark the occasion.
Lots of extra kit
Only 1,200 of the special edition vans have been allocated for the UK; almost all of which are expected to go to owner-drivers. For the extra £750, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter represents a saving over £1,200 off the list price.
Among the £2,000 worth of extra kit, there is air conditioning, sat nav, a Driver’s Comfort seat with arm rest, wheel trims, and a chrome grille.
Iconic van
Sales of the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter next month (September 2015) are expected to break the previous sales record of 4,217 set in September 2013. Between April 1995 and the end of June 2015, 327,201 Sprinter vans have sold in the UK.
“Mercedes-Benz has been making Vans since 1896 and has pioneered new standards in safety every step of the way, with Sprinter leading from the front”, explained Steve Bridge, Managing Director, Mercedes-Benz Vans.
“From introducing ESP in 1995, offering the driver airbag as standard in 2000, launching Crosswind Assist in 2013, and most recently becoming the first manufacturer in the world to equip all new vans as standard with Rescue Assist QR code stickers, we have never sat still”.
