The eagerly-awaited third generation Mercedes-Benz Sport is now available to order, with prices starting from £25,495. The Vito Sport, which is Merc’s answer to the Transporter Sportline and Transit Sport Van, was first introduced in 2009 and features enhanced practical and styling cues.
Additional features
On the outside the Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport receives chrome sidebars and front grille trim, front fog lights with chrome trim, rear tailgate chrome trim, colour-coded bumpers and five-spoke alloy wheels for that more premium appearance.
Meanwhile inside, the Audio 15 infotainment system has been added, with includes a small five-inch colour display, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. There is also air-conditioning, two front, single ‘comfort’ passenger seats and ‘Sport’ branded floor mats.
All Vito Sports are also prepared for the fitting of an optional plug-in Becker MapPilot navigation system that can be connect and full-integrated with the standard Audio 15 headunit and visual display.
Pricing and derivatives
There are eight versions of the new Sport van with a choice of a panel or crew van, with a 162bhp or 189bhp output and with the compact or long-wheelbase. Prices start at £25,495.00 for the Vito Sport van 116CDi Compact, to £29,990.00 for the Vito Crew van 119CDi Long. Both these figures are around £3,500 more than their basic spec equivalents.
About the Mercedes-Benz Vito
We highly rate the latest version of the Mercedes-Benz Vito, and it came third in our Top Five Medium Panel Vans for 2015. The Vito is cheap to run with efficient engines and fairly cheap servicing costs, it’s comfortable to drive and there is a whole host of driver assist and safety systems.

For those operators wanting even more dynamic attitude, the Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport X, which is likely to feature lowered suspension, roof rails and larger alloys, will be available next year, but with a heftier price tag.
