With all commercial vehicles purchased after the 1st of September 2015, Nissan will be offering an extended manufacturer warranty of five years or 100,000 miles. Previously, the warranty only covered customers until three years, or 100,000 miles.

The warranty also includes roadside assistance, and is transferable to new owners if the original owner wants to sell before it expires. The extension demonstrates Nissan’s confidence in its LCVs, and covers a comprehensive array of component and chassis elements, from powertrain and battery through to paintwork.

“Nissan has a long heritage in LCVs and we intend to grow our presence in this market across Europe. Meeting and exceeding the needs and preferences of our customers is a priority”, explains Ponz Pandikuthira, Director of Light Commercial Vehicles for Nissan Europe.

“This innovative five year Manufacturer Warranty was developed following in depth research among our LCV customers to understand what they valued most. Launching this market-leading LCV warranty is testament to Nissan’s confidence in the quality of our vehicles and the peace of mind we wish to offer our customers across Europe.”

The Nissan LCV range currently consists of the Nissan Navara pickup, Nissan NV200 light van, Nissan NV400 heavy van and the Nissan NT400 Cabstar. A medium van, the Nissan NV300 (based on the Renault Trafic), is due to be launched in 2016, alongside the replacement for the Nissan Navara, the Nissan NP300.
