As the current generation Volkswagen Amarok nears the end of its production cycle, Volkswagen is offering it with attractive rates of finance. Finance Lease and Contract Hire deals on the VW Amarok Trendline (list price £26,278) start from £239 a month, and are available on orders received before 30th September 2015. All price are exclusive of VAT.
Both the Contract Hire and Finance Lease agreements are geared towards businesses, but sole traders are also eligible. VWFS (Volkswagen Financial Services) finances thousands of commercial vehicles each year, as finance and leasing becomes an increasingly popular way to acquire new vehicles.
Contract Hire Deal
The VW Amarok Trendline 2.0 TDI 140PS on Contract Hire (based on 3 years, 10,000 miles per annum non-maintained) works out at £239 a month with an initial rental of £1,434, and additional mileage is charged at 6p per mile.
Contract Hire often works out cheaper than Finance Lease because you’re not paying for the residual value (just the vehicle cost and interest); hence why the initial rental is less.
For £239 a month, it still works out more expensive than similarly specced vehicles like the Mitsubishi L200 2.5D 175 Challenger (Leather) starting from £179 a month (£1,610 initial rental) and the Ford Ranger 2.2TDCi 150 Limited from £232 a month (£2,087 initial payment).
Finance Lease Deal
With Finance Lease, the same vehicle (based on 3 years, 10,000 miles per annum non-maintained) can be acquired at £239 a month with an initial rental of £2,985.79. However, at the end of the agreement, you can either enter a second agreement or sell the vehicle, and you will receive a proportion of the proceeds.
The initial rental is higher than most deals, but the monthly repayments are quite low. The Toyota Hilux 2.5D 141 Icon is priced at £247 per month (£742 initial rental) and the Isuzu D-Max 2.5 161 Yukon at £267 per month (£802 initial rental).
