Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles has made servicing easier for customers, with the launch of its online booking tool. The booking tool can be accessed via computer, tablet or mobile device and logs an appointment with the local VW Van Centre.

Simple online bookings

The systems uses a simple step-by-step approach to determine the most convenient service location, the type of service based on mileage and type of vehicle, and then a time. It is accessed via the Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles website www.volkswagen-vans.co.uk/service-booking, and asks the user a series of straightforward questions.

The whole process takes a matter of minutes and courtesy vehicles or collection and delivery options can also be arranged through the new system.

Video Feedback Platform

A new process, which has already proved to be a success on the passenger car side, is the video feedback platform, which allows technicians to show any required work to customers via a video, speeding up the approval process for any repairs required and ensuring total transparency of the work undertaken.

The use of video in service areas has already proved successful within Volkswagen Passenger Cars retailers, increasing customer satisfaction and improving customer trust by preventing unexpected repair bills and reducing vehicle downtime.

“The launch of these services are further proof of how we are continuing to put our customers first”, Trevor Hodgson-Phillips, Head of Service and Parts at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, commented. “Businesses rely on their vans and these new tools are designed to help speed up the booking process as well as reduce any costly downtime”.
