Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is offering discounted finance rates on the Volkswagen Crafter and Volkswagen Transporter T6, in addition to special deals on vehicle servicing. The offers are available from any of the 72 Volkswagen Van Centres nationwide until the 31st of December 2015.
The finance deals relate to Contract Hire and Finance Lease agreements on VWCV’s two largest vans. Deals start from £219 per month for the Volkswagen Transporter T6 and £269 per month for the Volkswagen Crafter.
Volkswagen Transporter T6 deals
We were slightly bemused by the number of improvements made to the Volkswagen Transporter T6 over the summer, but we still rate it as the best in class vehicle (See Top 5 Medium Vans for 2015). We were taken by the new touchscreen display, which is standard across the range, and the spaciousness and visibility in the cab.

The £219 a month deal relates to the T26 Startline model (no bulkhead included) with the 83bhp power output on Contract Hire. This is based on a 36-month, 10,000-mile per annum Contract Hire agreement with an initial rental of £657. Buyers must be aware that maintenance isn’t included and the excess mileage is charged at 6p per mile.
Volkswagen Crafter deals
Since its launch in 2006, the Volkswagen Crafter has struggled when compared with its sister van, the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter. Despite being built at the same factory, the Crafter doesn’t share the Sprinter’s impeccable reliability record, and the fuel economy is worst in class. It is due to be replaced next year.

The £269 a month Finance Lease deal comes with £1,000 initial rental contribution, although this is subject to 10,000 mile per annum cap over the four years and an initial rental of £4,518.58. This deal is based on the 3.5t variant, so it features a slightly improved payload of 1,330kg, and the medium wheelbase, high roof provides a large 10.5 metre load volume and can fit items such as four-metre long carpet rolls.
Service offers
Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles is continuing to offer service plans deals on its range. The two deals are the buy two services upfront and receive one interim and one full service at a discounted rate, and the buy four services upfront and receive two interim and two full services, again, at a lower rate with the cost of your next MOT also included.
