Mercedes-Benz has launched a national price for van servicing, in response to the wide variations of costs within its commercial vehicle dealer network. The move is designed to give a more transparent plan for customers up and down the country.

A flat national labour rate and set prices for oil and parts have also been introduced to help standardise the costs, with interim services starting from £99 on the Mercedes-Benz Citan and Mercedes-Benz Vito, and rising to £130 on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter.

Comprehensive services are now set at £185 for the Citan, £229 for the Vito and £250 for the Sprinter.

“We have listened to our customers and evolved our National Servicing pricing and Service Plans to be transparent, easy-to-understand, and above all, cost-effective,” explained Steve Bridge, managing director, Mercedes-Benz Vans UK.

“Our customers are focused on their businesses and daily lives, so we hope that the launch of our National Servicing pricing and tailored Service Plans removes one less worry for them.”

The fixed prices are also reflected in the service plans, which help roll the cost of servicing over a longer, and more affordable period and start from as little as £8 per month. Over the course of four years, Mercedes-Benz claims customers could save up to £261 through the Service Care Plan.

The Service Plans also take advantage of the out-of-hours servicing offered by Mercedes-Benz Vans dealers at no extra cost, allowing for maximum uptime. Servicing through the Mercedes-Benz approved dealer network also maintains free MobiloVan roadside assistance cover, which is Europe-wide and 24/7.
