In-vehicle storage specialist Sortimo has launched a new range of racking systems. The HD racking range helps keep the load of the van safe and tidy, and is made of a tough, yet lightweight, material which helps to reduce payload intrusion and the chances of damage.
For almost four decades, Sortimo International has developed, manufactured and sold tailored van racking solutions, and has been active in the UK since 1983. Today, the company offers industry-specific equipment solutions for trades and craftspeople, services and industry.
Lightweight but strong van racks
The new HD system bolts to the floor and side walls of the cargo area and is made up of a fibre-reinforced material with high-quality fibres and resins. Thanks to this composite material, the system is extremely robust and the smooth surface facilitates even the highest of strains, which is impact-resistant and scratch-proof.
“HD is the latest in our product line”, explains Franz Stegherr, head of business solutions at Sortimo International. “It has been constructed for the toughest of applications like pipeline construction, the building industry or underground construction.
“In our proven aluminium spaceframe, it has Prosafe integrated, which ensures safe lashing for even the heaviest loads. The tool drawers can each carry up to 90kg and the open shelve trays can be used to store equipment like sledgehammers and pickaxes and can carry up to 120kg. This is a racking system that has been developed for the roughest demands.”
All the shelf handles are tough and are very big so they can be gripped even when work gloves are being worn. Its black design can easily cope with potential damage and is extremely resistant against oil, fuel, and other chemicals, but it can also be cleaned quite easily due to the smooth surface.
The new HD racking range is available now from the Sortimo Fleet Conversion Centre in Warrington, Cheshire.
