Dorset-based Xtreme Sales will be offering a whole host of Toyota Hilux accessories, including underbody protection, specialist off-road bumpers and load area canopies. The new Hilux arrives in September 2016, but the new accessories are available to order from April.
Xtreme Sales is one of the UK’s largest suppliers of 4x4 accessories, which it imports from manufacturers all over the world. The off-road bumper, aluminium canopy and underbody protection have been tested in their own countries, where the next-generation Toyota Hilux is already on sale.
Rhino 4x4 Evolution 3D bumper
The Evolution 3D bumper is manufactured by Rhino 4x4 in Argentina, and provides an aggressive off-road look without compromising the natural lines and aesthetics of the Hilux. They are manufactured from 3 and 6mm steel and will provide all the necessary protection and increase the approach angle.
Rhino 4x4 is the only bumper manufacturer that uses OE specification dynamic crash tests to ensure it complements the vehicle’s existing safety systems and is airbag compatible. These Dynamic crash tests are done in the same test facility where OE vehicle manufacturer tests are carried out. The bumpers are priced at £2,330 plus VAT.
Alu-Cab Canopy
Alu-Cab manufactures its canopies in South Africa, a region that takes off-roading very seriously. Alu-Cab canopies are renowned for their lightweight design (some weighing as little as 50kg), longevity as aluminium is very rust- and weather-resistant, and practical with doors on all three sides. Prices start from £2,347 plus VAT, although it will cost you an extra £480 plus VAT to have it painted in matching OEM paint.
Rival underbody protection
Russian-based Rival Group is a household name when it comes to underbody protection, and works closely with OEMs to supply up to 700,000 skid plates per year. Its products are 100 percent corrosion resistant, are three times lighter than steel and are easily installed with no drilling required. The products have been crash-tested and are priced at £875 plus VAT on the new Toyota Hilux.
