If you order a new Volkswagen Crafter – and we do mean the latest 2017 model, not remainder stock of the outgoing version – before 2 July and have it registered before 30 September you’ll get two free services included as part of the deal.
VW says it’s launched the offer as ‘an extra helping hand in the initial ownership period for their new vehicle.’
The deal is for one interim service (basically an oil change) and one full service.
Is the free servicing offer limited to outright purchase of the new VW Crafter?
Not at all.
As long as you order before 2 July 2017 and register before 30 September 2017 you’ll get the two free services regardless of whether you acquire the Crafter through hire purchase, lease purchase, contract hire or finance lease.
Why is VW offering free servicing on the new Crafter?
Here’s the word direct from head of sales operations at Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles, James Douglas: ‘We believe this is a great offer for customers and a great way to introduce new Crafter to the market.
‘It’s not only a good deal but also demonstrates, in concrete terms, our desire to work with them, in partnership, and add value to their vehicle operation.’
VW is obviously also keen to make sure the initial batch of new Crafters gets its first services via the official Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle network.
It hasn’t said as much, but this will be a good way of managing teething troubles, should there be any for this brand new large van.
The new VW Crafter is priced from £23,290 (excluding VAT), and you can find a full breakdown of trim levels and specs by clicking here.
Don’t forget Parkers Vans also has a full review of this brand new van, and is currently undertaking a long-term review to see how it fares against the best in the large van sector.
