The Renault van range has switched its attention from Formula One to football, with a new trio of special editions inspired by the Premier League.
The Premier Edition versions replace the Formula Edition and are designed to celebrate Renault’s partnership with the Sky Sports coverage of the Premier League.
The Kangoo, Trafic and Master all come with a Premier Edition, and in each case the version is based on the top-of-the-range trim, but adds a selection of visual and equipment upgrades.
What extra equipment do the Premier Editions get?
Each Premier Edition gets visual upgrades, such as bespoke black alloy wheels and a choice of black or white decals (to contrast with the body colour) that come in the form of an offset bonnet stripe and strips down each side.
In terms of kit, you get Renault’s R-Link satellite navigation and entertainment system that comes with a rear-view camera and a dash cam. This dash cam offers several benefits, says Renault, as it means the vans come with the ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) that detects when the vehicle in front is pulling away and is able to warn if you are straying out of your lane or if there is an impending front-on collision.
All Premier Editions also get auto lights and wipers, front fog lights and cruise control.
If you go for the Kangoo then you get a leather steering wheel and metallic paint as standard. The trim is available on the Panel Van, Maxi Van and the Crew Van, and there is a choice of 90hp or 110hp 1.5-litre diesel engines. The Premier Edition is based on the Business+ trim.
The Trafic is based on the Sport Nav trim and gets body coloured side mouldings and 17-inch alloy wheels over the standard kit, and is offered in two wheelbases and in the Crew Van. You can pick from the 120hp, 125hp or 145hp diesel engines.
The large Master uses the Business+ trim as its starting point and adds 16-inch alloys and metallic paint. There is a choice of two wheel bases and the 130hp, 145hp and 170hp version of the 2.3-litre diesel engine.
