Volkswagen is using the CV Show 2018 as the launching ground for a new range of money-saving ‘business packs’ for its cheapest vans.
The new business packs include a number of popular options buyers and businesses typically add to entry-level Startline versions of VW vans – and they come at a lower price than adding all the individual items separately.
The business packs are available on the Caddy (panel van and kombi), the Transporter (panel van only) and the Crafter (panel van and chassis cab). Keep reading for full details.
VW Caddy business pack
The Caddy business pack is available on the entry-level Startline trim, and includes:
- Alarm
- Air-conditioning
- Rear parking sensors
It costs £950 – which is a saving of £520 versus buying all those bits separately.
Caddy Startline pricing begins at £14,155 (basic, excluding VAT).

VW Transporter business pack
The Transporter business pack is also available exclusively on the bottom-rung Startline specification, and in this case includes:
- Alarm
- Air-conditioning
- Rear parking sensors
- Bulkhead
It costs £975 (£25 more isn’t bad for the added safety of a bulkhead, is it?), and represents a saving of £510 compared to buying those elements separately.
Transporter Startlines are available from £19,870 (basic, excluding VAT) – though residuals on VW’s best-selling van are so strong you may find it’s cheaper on a monthly finance basis than the Caddy if you shop around.

VW Crafter business pack
When it comes to the Crafter, the business pack is offered on both Startline and Trendline models, and includes the following:
- Alarm
- Air-conditioning
- Front and rear parking sensors
- Two folding remote key fobs
- Overhead storage compartment inside the cab
The cost for this is £1,250 – which represents a chunky £1,320 saving over the combined individual pricing.
The Crafter is priced from £24,640 (basic, excluding VAT) in Startline guise.
