For roadies rather than road maintenance, or providing logistics and crew for events or exhibitions, the Talento Onyx is Fiat Professional’s latest special edition with a generous bundle of options included, based on a capacious six-seater LWB crew van with potent 170hp engine.

Putting it closer to hospitality and ‘appearance first’ events, the upgrades are largely cosmetic and comfort-related – but there’s no escaping the four cubic metres of load capacity behind the rear seats, with a load space 2,314mm long, 1,662mm wide and 1,387mm high.

Capable of carrying six people, the Talento Onyx – based on the Tecnico – includes a passenger airbag, and upgraded comfort and convenience features including automatic air-conditioning, keyless entry & keyless go, a leather steering wheel, a rear-view camera, and Talento-branded carpet mats

At £32,729 ex. VAT, it may be more comfortable for longer distances than a similarly equipped and priced double cab pickup with hard top.

Onyx limited edition’s distinctive look

As a special edition, the Onyx is generously equipped with visual upgrades, inevitably starting with contrasting stripes. More substantial changes include 17-inch matt black alloys and smart body-colour front and rear bumpers, side mirrors and rail covers. For a more upmarket look there’s a metal front grille, and a cargo entry protector keeps the back looking smart too.

To complement the mats inside, there are rear mud guards and side steps to keep splashes off the paintwork.

Users who value passenger space as much as cargo-carrying ability are Fiat’s target here – and it’s a good looking van for events and hospitality where you want something that can look as smart as the crew it’s carrying.

Or at least it should be – so far, all we have is a picture of the side steps and stripes…
