Citroen has updated the Dispatch and e-Dispatch vans with a new set of trim names, new Euro 6.3 engines and a price cut across the board.
The update stops short of being a facelift as there are no actual visual changes to the van, inside or out. The biggest upgrade is to the engine range, which has been updated and streamlined.

What’s new about the Dispatch engine range for 2022?
Citroen has brought in a new 145hp 2.0-litre BlueHDi turbodiesel engine, which is a replacement for the outgoing 120hp version. As well as the boost in power the new motor also cuts emissions by 15g/km, reducing it to 193-198g/km depending on which size van and gearbox you go for.
Beyond this, the Dispatch diesel engine range now consists of 100hp and 120hp 1.5-litre engines and a 180hp 2.0-litre. At the same time, the 150hp 2.0-litre engine has been dropped from the line-up.
This means there are four diesels to choose from in total, all of which are compliant with the forthcoming Euro 6.3 emissions requirements. The updates also bring a slight improvement in CO2 emissions for the 100hp model, which lowers its official figure by 3g/km to 174g/km.
The power output for the e-Dispatch electric van remains unchanged.

Prices cut across the Dispatch and e-Dispatch range
At the same time, Citroen has cut the Dispatch’s pre-VAT prices across the range by £1,000.
This means that the starting point is now £22,995 for the entry-level diesel model and £26,450 for the e-Dispatch electric model, although the latter figure is after the government’s plug-in van grant has been applied as a discount.
The £1,000 cut applies to the 145hp model, too, despite the increase in power over the 120hp model it is replacing.
Citroen says the price reductions are part of its ‘Fair Pricing’ promise. This basically sees the company cutting list prices rather than offer a varying level of discounts and offers at different times.
New trim levels go Pro
Citroen has also chosen to update the trim level names for the models in the Dispatch range, although the equipment on offer remains largely the same.
The three trims are now X Pro, Enterprise Pro and Driver Pro – Worker trim was dropped from the line up earlier in 2021 due to a lack of customer demand. The names apply to both diesel and electric versions.
The kit is the same on the X Pro and Enterprise Pro while all versions of the Driver Pro apart from the 120hp manual model now get an electronic parking brake. Citroen has also replaced the cornering foglights with static foglights and removed the Xenon headlight option, again due to a lack of demand.
