Core models in the Renault van range are now available with more equipment as part of a 2023 rejig to the brand’s offering.
The brand has upgraded the standard kit on the Renault Kangoo, Trafic and the Trafic Passenger, with all three getting more safety and convenience equipment included. The Kangoo also gets the Extra trim level that is already part of the Trafic’s model offering.
Despite the additional kit, Renault has kept the pricing unchanged for all the affected models.
What extra kit do the Renault van models get?
The main additions to the Kangoo and Trafic kit are safety related. All versions now come with active emergency braking, lane departure warning, driver attention alert and tyre pressure monitoring all included.
The Kangoo gets an entirely new trim level, with Extra slotting in alongside the Advance version already available in the range. It sits above the Advance and adds a couple of bits – keyless entry and start and automatic high-beam lights are offered as standard. It is available on both diesel and electric Kangoos.
The Trafic doesn’t get any new versions, as it already offers the Extra, but it does get a bit more kit on the Extra Sport – that now comes with adaptive cruise control and 360-degree parking sensors on the standard equipment list.
Pricing remains unchanged, with the Kangoo starting at £20,250 for the Advance while the Extra kicks off at £21,750 (both not including VAT). The Trafic range begins at £29,000 (not including VAT).
The electric Kangoo E-Tech starts at £29,850 (not including VAT and after the plug-in van grant) while the Renault Trafic E-Tech launches in 2024.
