The 2024 Vauxhall Vivaro updates have been revealed in full detail, with one of the sector’s best medium vans getting a car-inspired front look, new lighting and technical upgrades.
The Vivaro Electric also gets a boost in range and a price cut compared to the current version.
The Vivaro and Vivaro Electric have been facelifted as part of a comprehensive 2024 update that applies to all of the vans across all four of Stellantis’ four commercial vehicle brands.
This means that some of the changes apply to the Vivaro’s closest rivals, but the Vauxhall also gets a few little bespoke touches.
Strong visual identity
Vauxhall has chosen to give the Vivaro a front end that is familiar to the brand’s passenger car range. The so-called ‘Vizor’ front end was first shown on the Vauxhall Combo and is familiar to vehicles such as the Mokka small SUV.
As well as the new Griffin logo in the centre, the new front end also comes with upgraded LED lights on Pro-level versions.
There are upgrades in the cabin, too, with a new 10-inch infotainment screen, even on the entry-level Prime version. It now offers wireless smartphone connectivity and charging. There is also a new 10-inch digital instrument display.
Electric upgrades
The Vivaro Electric gets the most notable upgrades, with the 75kWh battery now offering an official range of 217 miles, which is a boost of 12 miles over the outgoing version.
There is also a new feature that allows users to plug electric devices into the Vivaro Electric. The “e-Power Take-off Unit” will provide up to 400V of power.
How much does the 2024 Vauxhall Vivaro cost and when can I buy one?
Despite the upgrades, Vauxhall has also taken the opportunity to reduce the price of the Vivaro Electric by £2,580, meaning it now starts at £42,055 (not including VAT). The diesel variants start at £27,555 (not including VAT) and both are set to go on sale by the end of 2023.
