  • Seminars on decarbonisation and more – all for free

Written by CJ Hubbard Updated: 12 March 2025

The 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show takes place at the Birmingham NEC from 29 April to 1 May. As ever, it represents your opportunity to get up close and personal with new vans from a selection of important brands, and perhaps even bend the ear of some key people at the same time. The exhibitors include not only manufacturers and suppliers but also organisations such as the DVLA and National Highways.

This year, in addition to the usual behemoth Ford van stand and regular attendees such as Renault and Isuzu, van fans will no doubt be making a beeline for debutants Kia. The 2025 CV Show represents the first chance for all of us to see the new Kia PV5 electric van in the UK.

There are also intriguing debuts from new Chinese brand Farizon, not to mention the first appearance of Flexis, an offshoot of Renault and Volvo Trucks that will be selling its own version of Renault’s latest electric vans. Dacia will debut the Cargo version of its ultra-cheap Spring electric car, while Ineos and KGM (the new name for SsangYong) will be attending, too.

How do I get tickets to the CV Show and what do they cost?

Tickets to the UK CV Show are free, and available via the official Commercial Vehicle Show website. There’s an Express Registration option that uses LinkedIn, or you can sign-up using your email address.

Alternatively, tickets are available on the day, but it is easier to get a barcode pass ahead of time.

What are the 2025 CV Show opening times and where does it take place?

The show runs from Tuesday 29 April through to Thursday 1 May 2025, and takes place at the NEC Birmingham – which is well connected by road, rail and even air.

The address is:

National Exhibition Centre (NEC)
Birmingham
B40 1NT
UK

The opening hours vary slightly on the final day, so don’t get caught out:

  • Tuesday 29 April 2025: 09:30-17:00
  • Wednesday 30 April 2025: 09:30-17:00
  • Thursday 1 May 2025: 09-30-15:30

The main entrance to the show is located at Hall 5.

What are the main attractions?

As well as the various van makers present (see below for further details), the CV Show also hosts suppliers, accessory manufacturers, security specialists, telematics companies, and stands from significant organisations. Such as the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Agency (DVLA), Road Haulage Association (RHA) and the Highways Agency.

In addition to this there will be expert-led seminar sessions running throughout the show, this year spread across three stages: the Main Stage, the Technical Stage and the Decarbonisation Theatre.

Topics covered include how telematics can make you money, the future impact of AI (artificial intelligence), health and safety, standards, legislation, self-driving technology, zero emissions, crime prevention and, er, lubrication.

The sessions run throughout the show, and there’s a different timetable of events every day. There’s a full seminar agenda on the CV Show website.

Van brands attending the 2025 CV Show

Although the CV Show isn’t just aimed at vans, the majority of the vehicles inside the National Exhibition Centre will be of vanny persuasion. Here’s what we know about what’s coming so far:

Dacia

Dacia Spring Cargo
Dacia will show the new Spring Cargo at the 2025 CV Show

Dacia has a consistent history of offering commercial vehicle versions of its car range, and the latest to join this car derived-van tradition is the Dacia Spring Cargo. This is based on the cheapest proper electric car you can buy – though ‘proper’ is a relative term; we’re not big fans of the passenger version here at Parkers – so could be an interesting option for those looking for urban zero emissions capability from an inexpensive compact work vehicle.

No kidding about inexpensive or compact. This is a very small machine, with a payload of just 370kg. But it also costs just £14,995 – and that’s before the plug-in van grant is applied.

Flexis

10
Flexis electric vans
Flexis is a new electric van maker.

Never heard of Flexis? We’re not surprised. But this new name has Renault and Volvo Trucks as its parent companies and has been intrinsically involved in the development of the new range of Renault E-Tech electric vans. To the extent that these will also be sold under the Flexis brand from 2026, making it another new player in the electric van market.

The plan is to use direct sales to target fleets, leaving Renault to hoover-up buyers via the conventional dealership route. The Flexis vans are thoughtfully designed and likely to make an interesting comparison to not only the very similar Renault equivalents but also other radical-thinking new commercial EV makers Kia and Farizon.

Ford

10
Ford Ranger PHEV charging
Plug-in hybrid Ranger pickup will be on display.

No surprise debuts from Ford this year, we understand, but still a great chance to take a closer look at some of the latest models from the UK largest LCV brand. These include the Ford Ranger PHEV – a plug-in hybrid version of the UK’s most popular pickup truck –and the E-Transit Courier. The 249-mile E-Transit Extended Range will also be on display.

Ford is also celebrating 60 years of the Transit in 2025, but we’re told that won’t have much relevance to the CV Show.

Ineos

10
Ineos Grenadier Quartermaster
One tough truck.

Upstart brand Ineos will once again be showing its commercial vehicles based on the Grenadier 4x4, including the Quartermaster pickup. The Grenadier is a tough SUV in the mould of the previous-generation Land Rover Defender, and very capable off-road. This comes with some compromises, but if you need to get a working vehicle somewhere roads don’t go, this stand could be worth your time.

Isuzu

10
Isuzu D-Max at the CV Show
Isuzu always brings a surprise or two to the CV Show.

Isuzu always has a big presence at the CV Show, typically showing off the latest D-Max variants and a number of conversions. The firm usually has a surprise or two up its sleeve as well.

Jameel Motors Farizon Auto

10
Farizon SV electric van
A new electric van from Farizon.

On display at the Jameel Motors stand will be the Farizon SV, a bespoke electric van that uses drive-by-wire technology (sort of). No less than eight panel van variants are available, alongside five body types and three battery sizes.

An opportunity to compare it directly to established mainstream rivals, so perhaps a great time to take a closer look.

Kia

10
Kia PV5 electric van
New Kia PV5 makes its UK debut.

A massive debut for the 2025 Commercial Vehicle Show is the Kia PV5 – the first in a whole new range of ‘professional business vans’ from this successful South Korean carmaker. Built on a dedicated EV platform, it promises a longer range and greater capability than rivals, plus an innovative approach to design and practicality.

Pure commercial and passenger variants will be offered, a number of specialised models are already planned, driving range is up to 248 miles per charge and they’ll all come with a seven-year warranty. Probably the most important thing at the show this year for anyone working in the van sector.

KGM

KGM Musso, Bauer Media exclusive image
KGM is the new name for SsangYong.

KGM is the new name for established Korean brand SsangYong. There’s not much new beyond this for the Musso pickup truck, but we’ll be sure to catch up with the team regardless.

Renault

10
New Renault electric vans
Renault is back at the CV Show for 2025.

Absent from the show in recent years, Renault makes what is likely to be a triumphant return in 2025 with a lot of stories to tell. Firstly there’s the latest Master – which is not only the reigning Parkers Van of the Year but also the International Van of the Year 2025 as well.

Then there is surely going to be news of the firm’s trio of new electric vans, the somewhat unconventional-looking replacement Trafic E-Tech and its cousins the Estafette and Goelette. Another stand you have got to get to during your visit.

Which van brands won’t be at the 2025 CV Show?

The above list is enough to keep you occupied for a few hours, but it’s hard not to notice that there are some key van brands missing – including several who have been present at the CV Show in recent years.

For instance, 2025 will be the first time in several years that SAIC Maxus hasn’t attended the CV Show. The brand has also upended its UK PR operation, so this isn’t entirely a surprise. But it is a bit of a shame, as it has a number of interesting products both on the market and on the way, all of which typically offer great value.

Other van makers we’ll miss seeing this year include Volkswagen, Toyota, and the entire Stellantis group of companies: Vauxhall, Citroen, Peugeot and Fiat. Mercedes-Benz is also not attending, but the German firm has not been in regular attendance for many years now.

New Chinese brand Skywell was due to attend, but we’ve been told the demonstrator model for its large electric van, codenamed Skywell 233, has been delayed. At the time of writing, the firm is still on the list of exhibitors.

We’ll be there

Parkers Vans will be reporting from the 2025 CV Show, as we do every year. Look out for further updates.
