Peugeot e-Expert dimensions (2020-on)
The Peugeot e-Expert is a 100% electric van that offers impressive payload and carrying capacity.
It's available in three body lengths and with two different-sized battery packs, which affect the maximum payload.
You'll find full dimension info on this page, or read our main Peugeot e-Expert review page for details of driving impressions, running costs and value
Like its diesel counterpart, the Peugeot e-Expert is available in a choice of three body lengths but just a single, city centre-friendly roof height.
This has the benefit of sliding under car park height restrictions and being less affected by sidewinds, but anybody with particularly tall loads to carry will need to look elsewhere.
The three body lengths - named Compact, Standard and Long - are all available on the mid-range Professional trim level. However, if you purchase either a basic S model or a lavishly-equipped Asphalt, you're limited only to Standard length.
Peugeot e-Expert exterior dimensions | Compact | Standard | Long |
Exterior length (mm) | 4,609 | 4,959 | 5,309 |
Exterior height (mm) | 1,905 | 1,890 | 1,940 |
Exterior width without mirrors (mm) | 1,920 | 1,920 | 1,920 |
Exterior width with mirrors (mm) | 2,204 | 2,204 | 2,204 |

Peugeot e-Expert load area dimensions
The Peugeot e-Expert's load area is identically-sized to its diesel counterpart. Here are its main dimensions.
Peugeot e-Expert load area dimensions | Compact | Standard | Long |
Maximum load length (mm) | 2,160 | 2,510 | 2,860 |
Maximum load height (mm) | 1,397 | 1,397 | 1,397 |
Maximum load width (mm) | 1,628 | 1,628 | 1,628 |
Load length with Moduwork (mm) | 3,324 | 3,674 | 4,024 |
Width between the wheelarches (mm) | 1,258 | 1,258 | 1,258 |
Maximum load volume (cu m) | 4.6 | 5.3 | 6.1 |
Max load Moduwork load volume (cu m) | 5.1 | 5.8 | 6.6 |
Moduwork is standard equipment for all e-Expert models, and comprises a bulkhead gate and folding outer passenger seat to maximise load area.
As you can see in the table above, this adds 0.5 cubic metres of load space.
All versions of the e-Expert come with at least six load lashing points and an internal light in the back. Usefully, there's a 12v socket in the load area, too.
Remember that some of your storage space, either in the cab or loose in the back, will need to be reserved for the Peugeot e-Expert's charging cables. It's available with two - a three-pin charger or a cable for use at public charging spots, both stored in their own carry bags.
The Peugeot e-Expert doesn't have quite as much payload or towing capacity as its diesel cousin - mainly due to the additional weight it carries thanks to its heavy battery pack.
It's for this reason that the smaller, 50kWh battery pack provides the maximum payload in the range.
However, even the least capacious e-Expert fitted with the 75kWh battery can still carry 1,001kg, making it among the best electric vans you can buy.
The maximum payload available is for short-wheelbase models fitted with the smaller batteries, which can carry up to 1,226kg.
Higher-specification models also see a small reduction in payload due to the weight of their extra kit, but there's not a lot in it.
Peugeot e-Expert towing capacity
All Peugeot e-Expert models can tow up to 1,000kg braked.
