Renault Master van dimensions (2024-on), capacity, payload, volume, towing
The Renault Master will come in only a few different sizes to start off with, but the good news for diesel buyers is that they get the full range of options whereas the E-Tech only gets a couple.
There are two lengths and two heights of Master diesel to choose from, with three possible combinations. There are also conversions, either directly from the Renault factory or through a range of approved converters. This includes the usual tippers, refrigerated vans or even horse boxes.
The efficiency gains that Renault has made allows it to make weight savings, too – the fuel tank is smaller for example. This then means that the weight this would have taken up can be allocated to payload instead.
The outside of the Renault Master certainly looks imposing, thanks in part to its bluff and tall front end. There are two wheelbases and two roof heights to choose from but the shorter of the two is only offered with the lower of the two roof options, so there are three combinations altogether.

The Renault Master’s loading bay has had a boost compared to its predecessor thanks to the revised bulkhead design. Instead of having a kink in it, it is now straighter, which allows for a more consistent interior shape, although it isn’t completely even.

There is only the one option of a 3.5-tonne gross vehicle weight for the Renault Master diesel at launch, while the electric E-Tech comes with an additional 4.0-tonne version.
Despite this, all of the stated payloads are impressive, with none offering less than 1,200kg. The shorter and lower MM model is the strongest, with a payload of 1,306kg, but even the longer version can carry 1,233kg.
Renault Master towing capacity
All versions of the Renault Master diesel can tow up to 2,500kg of braked trailer.
