Toyota Proace Max Electric dimensions and specs (2024-on)

There aren’t any surprises here – the Toyota Proace Max dimensions are exactly the same as the other large Stellantis models. The only notable difference is that there are fewer versions to choose between in the Proace Max range.

Toyota has decided to focus on the versions that it reckons will be most popular and has said that the L3H2 will be the best seller, making up around 80% of sales.

You can also get more than just a panel van, though, with a chassis cab, platform cab, dropside and tipper all offered as official conversions too.

Toyota Proace Max exterior dimensions

There are four different options when it comes to the Toyota Proace Max panel van, a combination of two lengths and two heights. These comprise an L2H2, L3H2, L3H3 and L4H3 version, although neither the diesel nor the electric version gets all four of those. The L2H2 only comes with a diesel while the L4H3 is only offered with the electric powertrain.

There are only three sizes of Toyota Proace Max panel van to pick from.

Toyota Proace Max Electric payload, weight & towing

4 out of 5 4.0

The Toyota Proace Max Electric comes fitted with a hefty 110kWh battery, which weighs a substantial amount. This weight inevitably has a knock-on impact on the van’s carrying ability.

Given the biggest version of the panel van has a kerb weight of over 2,800kg, this wouldn’t leave much room for payload if it was rated to the standard 3.5t gross vehicle weight (GVW). Toyota has, unsurprisingly, taken advantage of the loophole that allows electric vans to be rated at 4.25t and still driven on a standard car licence.

Toyota Proace Max payload

This GVW loophole applies to all the electric versions – there are no low-payload models in the range. The result is a maximum payload of 1,460kg on the L3H2 model.

Toyota Proace Max towing capacity

All electric versions of the Toyota Proace Max electric are rated to the same towing capacity of 2,400kg. This is less than the diesel equivalent, but only by 100kg.
