Vauxhall Astra Coupe 2.0i 16v Turbo 2d (2002/02) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
On paper great. In the flesh somewhat lacking - you might get all the toys but they are all low rent. Leather, plastics and hi-fi all below par.
Costs
Tyres expensive (as you'd expect) but I got rid of the car pronto for the reasons here given.

On the road
Driving
My one juddered between 70 and 80 and that was after new tyres, tracking, balancing. Not a patch on the CTR.
Performance
Stodgy, underwhelming and nothing like you would be believe from looking at the manufacturer's data.

Living with it
Reliability
Not a problem although traction control kept cutting in for a while after tyres were replaced.
Image
Looks nice. But its beauty is only skin-deep.
Comfort
Hard as a rock. You'd be better off bouncing down the road on the seat of your pants.

Security and Service
Security
Anyone who knew anything about cars wouldn't want to steal this, so excellent!
Service
Handled enquiries courteously.
