Vauxhall Astra Estate (2004 - 2010) 1.4i 16V SXi 5d Owner Review

Couldn't find any reviews of the dual fuel model so here is one the 28 miles per gallon is mixed driving and refers to using the LPG rather than the petrol system if I use the petrol system I tend to get about 33 miles per gallon in mixed driving it's worth pointing out that I deliver pizzas in the evening with this car and if you Factor in the current difference between LPG and petrol being about 2.2 then 28 miles per gallon x 2.2 is just over the petrol equivalent of 60 miles per gallon not bad for a car which has done very nearly 200000 miles it had been generally abused by its previous owner in so far as it had not had any maintenance to speak of I have put that right since I took over ownership of the vehicle and have spent quite a bit actually bringing it up to an acceptable standard of routine maintenance it is now running on the recommended dexos oil and I have treated the gas injectors to the prinz injector fluid as a precautionary measure measure against them locking up. In spite of this I have until recently experienced engine management light problems 1st of November signals a time when the LPG fuel Becomes of much higher quality I believe that the refineries sell a mixture which is heavy in butane during the summer months and the engine does not like burning this however I have recently had the engine management light turn off for no apparent reason and I believe it is due to a change in the quality of the LPG fuel during the winter months.
