Served me well as my first car, economical, spacious, cheap to buy, cheap to fix, but small enough to fit through gaps in traffic and makes it feel nimble. The engine was pretty loud, the interior was cheap, but the radio was loud and it was good value for money. Avoid the 1.7cdti, know for headgasket issues
How reliable do you find the car?
Owned from 87k miles to 94k miles when head gasket went (probably caused by a loose coolant hose, and since there's no temp gauge, it overheated), car was still drivable but alternator went at the same time, and a £2 clip for the horn broke, failing the MOT (couldn't replace myself because under the airbag, so needed a specialist)
