Vauxhall Astra Hatchback 1.4 L 5d (2002/51) Owner Review
-
Economy
Value
It cost me £325 to buy, and will probably sell it for the same.
Costs
Serviced it for 15 quid and had the cambelt and water pump changed for 60.

On the road
Driving
Good 'cos there's no electric aids getting in the way, but steering is vague at times.
Performance
It shifts! My friends have at times questioned whether it really is a 1.4. 112mph top whack.

Living with it
Reliability
Hasn't broken down yet. All problems have been cheap to fix and the car remeains driveable with problems present.
Image
No matter how hard you try, if you're like me, you will look like a rude boy racer.
Comfort
Pretty comfy, though not as good as my Sierra in the lower back department.

Security and Service
Security
My friend can unlock his Astra with his house key.
Service
Haven't had any contact with Vauxhall 'cept when I bought an oil filter and it was only 2 quid.
