Value
Paid £3600 two years ago...now worth just under £2000.
Costs
Group 10 insurance is a bit high for a 1.6 8v engine!!!

Driving
Handles quite sporty. Stiff suspension from SRi means not much body roll.
Performance
Could be faster. 1.6 only 8v, 1.8 16v model the better choice if you can afford group 14 insurance!

Reliability
In 30,000 miles, only spent £250 on head gasket, £100 brakes, £50 exhaust, two new tyres.

Based on the SRi. But apart from a few modifications...it's a Mk3 Astra. Need I say more?
Comfort
Sports seats give support and hold you in place. Ride is firm though.

Had to buy my own alarm but it does have deadlock central locking as standard.

Could be cheaper. Independant dealers often quote HALF the price for repairs
